We're not like the other puppy yoga places.
Because we’re not just a puppy yoga place.
Pudgy Pups is a rescue first.
Every class, cuddle, and downward dog funds the care and rehoming of dogs who were discarded, mistreated, and forgotten — often by the same kinds of places other businesses source their “therapy puppies” from.
We don’t do that.
We’re the only spot in Canada that is the rescue.
The same team that cleans up chewed beds and gives meds at breakfast is the team holding space while you stretch, laugh, and snuggle through your class.
No middlemen. No breeders. No Instagram props.
Just real dogs, with real pasts — and real futures, because of you.
The dogs aren’t the only ones healing here!
People come to Pudgy’s Place for a lot of reasons.
Because their therapist told them to try something joyful.
Because they miss their childhood pet.
Because they’re burnt out and haven’t had a full-body exhale in months.
Because they’re trying to remember what hope feels like.
And somehow, the second they sit on the mat — surrounded by tail wags and snorts and paws-too-big-for-their-body — it hits them: oh. This is what I needed.
This isn’t performance wellness.
It’s not the thing you do so you can post about the thing you did.
It’s softness. Whimsy. Unpolished joy.
And whether you book a class or plan a party, you're part of the mission — one snuggle at a time.

Because let’s be honest… they’re the ones really running the show.
Chunk

Lil Bit
She’s on the hunt for her next favourite man (there's always one in every class). Do not be alarmed if she climbs into your hoodie and refuses to leave.
Smalls
Half Shepperd- but loves to cuddle. Will show you his belly as he snuggles up in his favourite corner behind all the pillows.
Why we do it this way
There’s no shortage of places offering “puppy yoga” in Toronto.
But when you look behind the curtain, you’ll find a lot of those dogs come from questionable sources, then get shipped out again once they age out of the “cute” stage.
That’s not what we’re about.
We built Pudgy Pups to end that cycle.
To create a space where dogs are cared for, not commodified.
Where humans can heal alongside them.
And where joy is never performative — it’s mutual!
FAQs
Are the dogs adoptable?
Yes! Many of our dogs are waiting for their forever homes. Every snuggle you share helps socialise them and get them one step closer to adoption.
Where do the dogs come from?
Puppy mills, backyard breeders, and unsafe conditions. Pudgy's Place is the rescue, not just a partner — so when we say "rescued," we mean it.
Can I just come for the snuggles without doing yoga?
Absolutely. We offer pure cuddle sessions for 30 or 60 minutes. No downward dogs required.
Is this safe for the dogs?
Yes. All dogs get breaks, naps, and vet checks. They're never forced to interact and we keep group sizes small to make sure everyone has a good time (especially the pups).
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and maybe a water bottle. Mats and good vibes are provided.
Can I book a class for my workplace or party?
